Bafus' strong outing sends AppleSox past Pippins

WENATCHEE — Troy Stainbrook notched his second consecutive save and the Wenatchee AppleSox shut out the Yakima Valley Pippins 4-0.

The AppleSox did the entirety of their damage in the first inning, sending eight batters to the plate and scoring four runs.

Virginia Commonwealth’s Curtis Bafus started for the AppleSox and did not allow a run.

The series with Yakima Valley continues today at 7:05 p.m.
