Warden schools, teachers reach tentative agreement
WARDEN — The Warden School District and the Warden Education Association have reached tentative agreement on a new contract. The deal was reached Thursday evening after an all-day bargaining session between representatives of the union and the district.
Normally the details of the contract would be posted on the district’s website, said Veronica Perez, the district’s director of business and operations. But union representatives proposed, and district representatives agreed, to keep the contract confidential until WEA members can review it.
The district and the WEA were working a new master agreement, which is normally longer than one year. But the length of the agreement is one of the provisions in the contract that will be kept confidential until WEA review, Perez said.
