3 injured in Moses Lake collision
MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake woman’s failure to yield reportedly led to a collision that left three people injured on Monday.
About 12:40 p.m. Julianne Klein, 28, of Moses Lake, was stopped at a stop sign on Randolph Road in a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta and turned left onto state Route 17 in front of a 1994 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Curtis Hanford, 27, of Cashmere. Hanford was not able to stop and struck the driver’s side door of the Jetta, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Klein, Hanford and Hanford’s passenger, identified as Gauge Mauch, 18, of Cashmere, were injured in the collision and transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake for treatment. The patrol reports Klein was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
