MOSES LAKE — Got a wedding coming up in the near or distant future? How about a close friend who has a wedding right around the corner? Then you might want to not schedule anything for Jan. 27 because the Bride Style Wedding Expo in Moses Lake is coming and will no doubt be one of the biggest wedding resources that people can find in the Columbia Basin.

There have been several different takes on bridal shows in the Basin in the past. But the Bride Style Wedding Expo is different from anything the area has seen before in terms of a bridal show. The event itself is free of charge and will be held at the Grant County Fairgrounds in the commercial and 4-H buildings Jan. 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“One of the highlights we have going for the show is that D&Z Events will be decorating for us. They are so well known in our area for what they can do as far as decorating goes and they can transform anything to look like a miracle,” Bride Style Wedding Expo coordinator Rosalie Black explained. “They are really going to make it a special experience not just for the brides, but for the vendors as well.”

The event has undergone a complete rebranding, with the Bride Style brand, to better serve it’s target demographics. With that rebranding comes several different components, including a print magazine that attendees can take home and use throughout the year to plan their weddings.

“I saw an opportunity to make this a better resource for vendors and brides,” Black stated.

The fun doesn’t stop with the magazine, however, as brides will have the opportunity to take home a free diamond, courtesy of Miller Jewelers, by literally diving into cakes and searching for one of those valuable rocks. There will also be a giveaway for a stay-and-play package at the Coeur d’Alene Resort, a mimosa bar and of course a fashion show.

The expo is also designed to be a one-stop shop for anything and everything that a bride can think of. From premiere wedding photographers to makeup artists and representatives from a number of different venues, no component of a wedding was left unaccounted for in terms of vendors.

“I want to put it out there, it is recommended for the brides to bring the people with them that can help be the support and decision makers. So they can have people with them that mean the most to them on their wedding day,” Black explained. “It can be really overwhelming to plan a wedding.”

“If you can get the groom there. Get the groom there. Otherwise the mother of the bride or bridesmaids.”
