Adams County briefs
Ritzville
Adams County established the best record of any county in the state for collection of delinquent property tax during 1940, according to a report and delinquent property tax, according to a report of the state tax commission. Lincoln and Garfield counties were the only ones that came close to equaling the record of Adams County.
Warden News
-Mr. and Mrs. Simon Knecht and Ruth, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Albert Plugrath, motored to the coast this week.
-Mr. and Mrs. Albert Widmer left for a week’s visit on the coast.
-Mrs. Marie Suko, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Suko and Joan as far as Walla Walla where she will visit relatives.

-Paul Radock, Robert Reynolds, Don Morgan and Ruth Radock, drove to Goose Lake for swimming last Sunday.
-Mr. and Mrs. George Gerlock and family of California are visiting relatives here this week.
-Mrs. Helen Beck was a visitor in Moses Lake on Wednesday.
-Mr. and Mrs. Bud Bowhay are here wiring the school.
-LeRoy Gerlock is home from his harvest job this week.
-Mr. and Mrs. Walter Suko and family made a business trip to Ritzville on Tuesday.
-Mr. and Mrs. Harvey McClinans and family visited friends and relatives in Cashmere last weekend.
-A freight train going east through Warden, started a big prairie fire, burning off a number of acres of pasture land.
-Mrs. Bertha Roloff, spent Wednesday afternoon visiting Mrs. Elmo Zuko.
- Mr. and Mrs. Harvey McClimmidt of Moses Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Ottmer of Wheeler, Mr. and Mrs. John Gerlock of Dryden, Mr. and Mrs. George Gerlock of California and families, also Henry Gerlock of Lind, were Sunday guests at the home of Mrs. Kate Gerlock.
-A good many residents of Warden attended the two-day celebration in Moses Lake.
-Mr. and Mrs. Henry McClimans spent this weekend in Spokane.
