Public invited to celebrate life of Dan Dishon on Saturday
MOSES LAKE — The life of firefighter Dan Dishon will be celebrated in Moses Lake on Saturday and the public is invited to join in the celebration.
The ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. in the Big Bend Community College gymnasium.
Dishon, 39, received chemical burns in late December following an industrial accident at Moses Lake Industries. He was taken to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake and later transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he remained until his death on Jan. 8. The state Department of Labor and Industries has confirmed they are investigating the incident at Moses Lake Industries.
Dishon was a battalion chief/training officer for Grant County Fire District No. 13 and volunteered at the district since 2001. He was also a paid captain at Grant County Fire District No. 5 and volunteered for the district for 15 years.
