Big Bend women dominate Treasure Valley through three quarters, cruise to win
ONTARIO, Ore. — Miranda Johnson poured in a game-high 23 points and Big Bend trounced Treasure Valley 78-62.
The Vikings led 64-43 after three quarters. The win was Big Bend’s (3-3, 14-5) second in a row and moved the team into fourth in the NWAC East.
Miranda Johnson, who has started the past two games, followed her 23-point performance against North Idaho with 23 more points against Treasure Valley. Both performances led Big Bend.
Johnson, listed at 5-foot-8, also added three blocks and five steals on the defensive end.
Leah Dougherty, also a new starter, added 17 points, two blocks, two steals and four rebounds.
Hailey Garrity was the third Viking in double figures with 14 points and a team-high seven rebounds.
Big Bend travels to first-place Columbia Basin on Saturday.

Big Bend 91, Treasure Valley 84
ONTARIO, Ore. — Big Bend turned up the offense to beat Treasure Valley 91-84.
DeAngelo Stowers shot 10-of-15 for a game-high 32 points. Koby Huerta and Miles Brown added 21 and 14 points, respectively.
Big Bend (2-4, 9-9) is at Columbia Basin Saturday.
