The Othello Chamber of Commerce is inviting all to “Cowboy Up” with them for the 2017 Annual Chamber Awards Banquet on Feb. 23.

During the banquet, awards for civil servant, business, and citizen of the year will be named. Two teachers of the year will also be awarded; one from kindergarten through 5th grade, and the other a 6-12 grade teacher.

“We really encourage nomination submissions from the community,” said chamber manager, Bianca Mendoza.

This year’s banquet will be held at the Bethel Assembly of God located at 915 S 1st Ave. in Othello. Social hour begins at 5 p.m., with the program to follow at 6. The evening will include dinner, the special appreciation awards, and a chance to win the $1,000 grand prize during the reverse raffle.

Attendees are encouraged to dress up in the “Cowboy Up” theme as a western style photo booth will be on hand and an award for the “best dressed couple” will also be handed out.

Tickets for the banquet are $30 if purchased in advance, and $35 at the door. They can be purchased at Patty’s Second Hand Store, RE/MAX, Basin Insurance, The Old Hotel, and Columbia Bank. Tickets are also available at the chamber office, 33 E Larch St.

Nomination submissions for civil servant, business, citizen and teacher of the year can be made at www.chamberofothello.org. For more information, contact Bianca Mendoza at 509-488-2683.
