Prep roundup: Moses Lake girls bowling rallies past Ike in CBBN finale

YAKIMA — Moses Lake rallied from a 1-0 hole to win the next three games and beat Eisenhower 3-1.

The Chiefs fell behind by 175 pins after the first game, 845-670. Cassidy Nelson (178), Kerisa Sanislo (157) and Camille Sanislo (157) topped 150 pins in the second game to lead the Chiefs to a 765-753 win, which evened the match.

Still down by over 150 pins, Moses Lake needed to sweep the Baker games. The Chiefs won the first 202-131 and completed the comeback in the second 175-156.

Boys wrestling

Prosser 40, Quincy 34

QUINCY — A dual that featured five ties came down to a forfeit at the final weight.

Quincy forfeited 285 pounds, which broke a 34-34 tie and gave Prosser the win 40-34.

The Jacks made the most of their six wins, receiving one forfeit and winning four matches by fall. Pins by Eliseo Valdovinos (170) and Jerry Hodges (195) gave Quincy (4-2, 5-2) leads of 28-22 and 34-28, respectively.

Ephrata 48, Selah 31

EPHRATA — Ephrata defeated Selah 48-31 to pick up its second league win.

Sammy Flores (113) returned to the Tiger lineup and pinned Evan Anderson in the second round. Corbin Sager (152), Clay Johns (120) and Valerio Placido (145) also won by fall.

Boys swimming

Moses Lake 144, Eisenhower 36-Moses Lake 145, Davis 25

YAKIMA — Moses Lake finished first and second in every event to dominate its meet in Yakima.

Moses Lake crushed Eisenhower, 144-36, and Davis, 145-25.

Zach Washburn won the 100 butterfly (52.77) and the 100 backstroke (55.98).

Ander Molitor finished first in the 50 and 100 freestyle in 22.8 seconds and 49.82 seconds, respectively.

Moses Lake (4-0, 5-0) travels to Wenatchee on Jan. 18.

Boys basketball

Northwest Christian 58, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 49

COLBERT — Lind-Ritzville/Sprague could not rally from an early deficit and lost to Northwest Christian 58-49.

Camden Smith and Bryce Kelly scored 12 points apiece for LRS (5-4, 8-5).

Girls basketball

Northwest Christian 63, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 53

COLBERT — Peyton Curtis exploded for 32 points, but it was not enough as Lind-Ritzville/Sprague fell to Northwest Christian 63-53.

The second half was even, however, the Broncos (3-6, 5-7) fell behind by 10 after two quarters.
