Lupe Maria Vasquez

Lupe Maria Vasquez, 73, was called home to her Heavenly Father on Jan. 7, 2018 surrounded by her loving children in Spokane, Wash.

Lupe was born in Dilly, Texas Sept. 9, 1944 to Santos Rivera and Juanita Rodriguez. Lupe was the youngest child of seven. Lupe is survived by one brother, Guillermo Rivera of Joshua, Texas, and her twin sister Maria Rivera of Moses Lake.

Lupe’s early childhood was spent in Texas prior to moving to Moses Lake where she married Andrew Vasquez on Oct. 5, 1958, sharing 47 years of life and love together.

Lupe was blessed to have seven children bestowed upon her and Andrew during their union. Lupe is survived by her sons Arturo Vasquez (Cheryl), Ramon Vasquez (Lovey), Andrew Vasquez and Lupe Vasquez (Jaimee) and daughter Mary Jane Vasquez.

Lupe’s surviving grandchildren include Arturo Jr., Nieva, Josiah, Andrea, Melissa, Nicole, Gabriel, Zachary, Gabrielle, Matthew, Andre, Annyssa, Daniel, Cruz, Zane, Kassidy, Kristina, Derryck and Cesar Vasquez and 15 great-grandchildren.

Lupe will be greeted in Heaven by her father Santos Rivera, mother Juanita Rodriguez Rivera, husband Andrew Vasquez, daughter Mary Jane Vasquez and son Eddie Vasquez.

Services will be held on January 19, 2018 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 200 N. Dale Rd. Moses Lake, Wash. Rosary will be at 10 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 officiated by Father Jorge Granados.
