Jennifer (Thurman) Anderson

| January 10, 2018 2:00 AM

October 8, 1980 – December 31, 2017

Jennifer (Jenn) S. Thurman, 37, was born October 8, 1980 in Port Angeles, Wash. to Gary Thurman and Diana Thurman. Jenn tragically and unexpectedly passed away on Dec. 31, 2017.

Jenn was one of three children. While she was born in Port Angeles, her family moved to Moses Lake in 1984 where she remained and chose to raise her two children Cyrus Lybbert, 18, and Kiley Anderson, 14. Jenn never liked to be alone and spent the majority of her time with family and friends. She had a kind heart and was willing to help others. Her motto was “love without cause” and that’s exactly what she did, even if meant she did not get the same in return.

She was often seen taking children to community events, the Sand Dunes, or swimming. Jenn loved the beach. She’d always say “let’s go to the beach” and spend hours convincing her family the beach is where they should go while on vacation. Jenn had a knack and passion for interior decorating. She always knew what to add, change or purchase to make the room beautiful. Her smile and bright blue eyes could light up a room and she could make anyone smile with one of her jokes.

Jenn is preceded in death by her grandfather Lee Thurman, grandmother Ethal Thurman, grandmother Althea Geer, uncle Danny Thurman and aunt Lara Rask.

She is survived by parents Gary and Diana Thurman; son Cyrus Lybbert; daughter Kiley Anderson; brother Danny Thurman; sister Bonnie Gaines; brother-in-law, Jerry Gaines; uncles Larry Thurman, Robert (Bob) Thurman and Kenneth Thurman; aunt Sherri Curtis; nephews David Bensal-Thurman, Isaac Thurman and Danny Thurman Jr.; nieces Kaylee Thurman and Kamiah Gaines; great-nephew Michael Thurman and best friends Josh Gonzalez and Denae Suhr. Jenn is also survived by countless other family members and friends who love her dearly.

A viewing will be held on Jan. 13, 2018 between 1 and 2 p.m. at Moses Lake United Methodist Church. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. followed by a burial and memorial service. All who loved her are welcomed to attend.
