ROYAL CITY — The Royal Girls dropped a 58-32 league game at home to SCAC West Conference leader Columbia-Burbank (7-0, 3-0) Dec. 19, but bounced back with a 45-39 win in a nonleague matchup with Naches Valley Friday, Dec. 22.

The win over the Rangers snapped a three-game skid and improves the Knights to 1-3 overall on the season.

Royal jumped out to a 10-4 first quarter lead and was up 27-12 at the break. Naches Valley caught fire in the third quarter to narrow the gap to 32-24. The Rangers had hopes of pulling out the comeback posting 15 points on the board in the fourth quarter to the Knights 13, but Royal held on for the win.
