| January 2, 2018 2:00 AM

RITZVILLE — A woman from western Washington died in a single-vehicle collision west of Ritzville last week.

About 10:20 a.m. on Friday Patrick Conley, 35, of Shoreline, was driving a 2000 Jeep Cherokee west on Interstate 90, about 18 miles west of Ritzville, at a high rate of speed. Conley reportedly lost control of the Jeep, which caused the vehicle to roll and come to a rest 100 feet off of I-90 on its top, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Conley’s passenger, identified as 35-year-old Nicole Conley, died at the scene of the collision. Patrick Conley was transported to East Adams Rural Hospital in Ritzville for treatment. The patrol says the cause of the collision was Patrick Conley’s speed. Citations and/or charges against Conley are pending.
