MOSES LAKE — A man was arrested in Moses Lake over the weekend for allegedly robbing another man at gunpoint.

About 4 p.m. on Sunday the Moses Lake Police Department received a report of a robbery in the 700 block of South Dahlia Drive. The victim in the incident told police he arrived home and found Todd Gremler, 28, taking items from inside his residence.

The MLPD reports the victim and Gremler know each other and Gremler believed the victim stole from him. Gremler was confronted by the victim and he threatened to call the police. Gremler allegedly pointed a gun at the man and told him he would he receive his cell phone back when he, Gremler, got his mail back.

Gremler allegedly proceeded to take several of the victim’s belongings and went back to his residence, which is reportedly located on the same property as the victim’s residence. Gremler was arrested a few minutes later and police reportedly recovered the gun he used, as well as the victim’s cell phone, tools and fishing gear. Gremler was booked into the Grant County Jail for first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary and second-degree assault.

“The case is still under investigation, but there is no evidence to date that the victim had any of Gremler’s property,” stated MLPD Capt. Mike Williams.
