High-speed chase lands two in jail

A pair of sisters are in jail after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase that started in Othello and ended in Franklin County.

Othello officers reportedly attempted to stop the vehicle for a traffic violation. The diver, identified as Jordan Ash, refused to pull over and continued driving east on East Main Street at speeds in excess of 90 mph.

The Othello Police Department says Ash then “recklessly” turned south on Highway 17. Officers and Adams County deputies pursued Ash for 23 miles, with speeds reportedly reaching 120 mph. The decision was made to terminate the pursuit at Lincoln Road and Highway 17. Franklin County deputies located the vehicle about five miles south on Highway 395.

Ash reportedly crashed into a guardrail and two of the three people in the car were injured. Ash and her sister/passenger, identified as Mikayla Ash, were transported to a Pasco-area hospital for treatment. The OPD reports the other passenger, an unidentified male, fled the scene before police arrived.

Mikayla Ash was booked into the Franklin County Jail for outstanding felony warrants. Jordan Ash was booked in the Adams County Jail for attempting to elude and third-degree driving with a suspended or revoked license.
