School board song and dance

| February 22, 2018 2:00 AM

“And the Oscar goes to Elliott Goodrich and costar Vickey Melcher for their dual role in playing nicey-nice with the public.”

This critic is calling Goodrich’s line “The priority is making sure kids have a good education” (Columbia Basin Herald, Feb. 15) the best-delivered line since Cuba Goodinng Jr.’s “Show me the money” in “Jerry Maguire.”

Screenwriters are already at work on a script for a Big Bad Wolf movie where Goodrich and Melcher sing “We’ll huff and we’ll puff and we’ll blow the school bond down.”

Wolves in sheep’s clothing.

After enjoying my 22-plus years in the Moses Lake School District, I’ve never seen anything like it. Tennessee Williams, in his play “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” summed it up with one word: “mendacity.”

If this letter appears mocking, it is a mirror of what is happening within factions of the Moses Lake School Board.

Curtains, please.
