Thomas Homer Wallace

May 2, 1953 – February 2, 2018

Tom Wallace unexpectedly passed away at his home on Feb. 2, 2018 at the age of 64. He was born on May 2, 1953 in Sunnyside, Wash. to Homer and Ellen Wallace. He was the youngest of four children. Tom’s family moved to Yakima, Wash. in 1956 where he spent the remainder of his childhood. He attended Nob Hill Elementary School, Wilson Junior High School and Eisenhower High School. Tom worked for the Pepsi Bottling Company for 21 years and spent 22 years working for the Coco-Cola Bottling Company. He had recently retired in 2016 but continued to work part time for his son Ty, mostly so he could see him every day.

Tom married Kim Brink in 1980. He had two children, Ty and Simone. He will be missed by many and his family’s get-togethers will never be the same. Tom could tell a story that would get funnier every time he told it. Countless hours were spent camping with him making everyone laugh around a campfire. He was generous by nature. Tom has always been a car enthusiast with his most recent “baby” being a custom Dodge Challenger, “Hell Cat,” which he still enjoyed driving down Yakima Avenue.

He is preceded in death by his parents Homer and Ellen Wallace and brother Ted Wallace.

Tom leaves behind his wife Kim; son Ty Wallace; daughter Simone (Gordy) Hampton, grandchildren Kaylin and Dylan; sisters Doris Unruh and Shirley Peck, cousins and many nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 1 p.m. at Assembly of God Church, 431 E. Brown Ave in Moses Lake, Wash.
