April 14, 1965 – January 24, 2018

Luis Martin, 51, passed away at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, Wash. on Jan. 24, 2018 at 1:45 a.m. due to complication from renal carcinoma.

He was born on April 14, 1965 in Toppenish, Wash. to parents Juan Martin Sr. and Maria Guadalupe Garcia, and was also welcomed by Florentino Rodriguez and Juanita Estraca.

He received his GED at Washington State University and also had some college. He married Celia Rangel on Dec. 18, 1987. He was employed at Simplot.

Luis enjoyed camping, fishing, being a Seahawk fan, and spending time with his family.

Survived by wife Celia Martin; daughter Samantha Martin; son-in-law Jason Collier and grandson Damion Collier; siblings Lupe (Robert) Hedges, Juan (Lorrie) Martin, Alex (Sheralyn) Martin, Maria (Jack) Hartman, Martha (Harry) Owens, David (Angie) Martin, Anna (Victor) Bravo and numerous others including nieces, nephews and cousins too many to mention.

Memorial services are being held on Feb. 17, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Larson Heights Elementary. 700 Lindberg Lane, Moses Lake, Wash. with a reception to follow.

Luis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and brother. His main goal was to have his whole family to be able to get along and enjoy each other before it’s too late.
