October 24, 1926 – January 25, 2018

On Thursday, January 25, 2018, Wayne Leroy Luke passed away at the age of 91 years. Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years Joanne and his children Tim (Kim), Janet (Jil) (Dave) and Elaine. He will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Nanette (Kory), Janell (Jerry), Todd, Heather, Ryan, and Stacey and his great-grandchildren Sierra, Sienna, Garrett, Gavin, Grace and Aviana.

Wayne was born in Chico, Calif. on Oct. 24, 1926. Soon after, he and his family moved to Granite Falls, Wash. where he attended high school, He was a four-year letterman in football, basketball, and baseball.

After high school He attended Simpson Bible Institute, Seattle, Wash. He pastored the Redmond Alliance Church and Beverly Park Alliance Church, planted the Richland Alliance Church and Moses Lake Alliance Church, and rebirthed the Alliance Bible Church in Grangeville, Idaho. While ministering he drove semi trucks for Arden Farms, Darigold and Safeway for 29 years.

A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 1100 N. Grape Dr., Moses Lake, Wash. on Feb. 18 at 2 p.m.
