Prep roundup: Ephrata ousted from district tournament by Ellensburg
ELLENSBURG — Ephrata was outscored in the third and fourth quarter, falling on the road to Ellensburg 78-70.
The loss knocked the Tigers out of the postseason.
Hunter James scored a team-high 21 points and Jakob Oxos added 19.
Ephrata rallied from a six-point deficit after the first quarter to tie the game 37-37 at halftime.
The Bulldogs led by as much as seven points before Oxos and Caden Blankenship scored consecutive baskets to close the third quarter. Ellensburg opened up a 13-point lead in the fourth quarter and Ephrata could not recover.

Royal’s Rojas signs with Huskies
ROYAL CITY — Royal soccer player Michael Rojas signed his national letter of intent to the University of Washington Wednesday at Royal High School.
Royal reached the first round of the state tournament in 2017, losing to Cascade of Leavenworth 1-0.
Washington finished the 2017 season 12-7-1.
