Man arrested for hit-and-run, eluding
MOSES LAKE — A man was arrested in Moses Lake last week after colliding with a vehicle, fleeing the scene of the collision and leading police on a pursuit.
Last week Domonick Sapp, 25, was driving in Moses Lake, despite having a suspended license, when he reportedly collided with a vehicle at the intersection of West Valley Road and North Stratford Road. After the collision Sapp fled the scene, according to the Moses Lake Police Department.
An MLPD Street Crimes detective reportedly witnessed the collision and attempted to pull Sapp over. The suspect attempted to elude the detective and Sapp started heading north on North Stratford Road.
“This proved to be a short-term solution, as Sapp only made it to Stratford and Harris before exiting the roadway and crashing. He was taken into custody without incident, with the assistance of the Grant County Sheriff’s Office,” stated the MLPD.
There were no reported injuries and Sapp was booked into the Grant County Jail for felony eluding, hit-and-run, driving with a suspended license and an outstanding Department of Corrections warrant for his arrest.
