Harley House

| December 20, 2018 2:00 AM

Harley (Doug) Douglas House, 80, left this world suddenly last Saturday. Doug worked passionately taking care of his “farm” up until the very last moment. He read Psalm 23 every morning and is now “lying in green pastures, beside still waters” (Psalms 23:1). He will be remembered for his obnoxious stories, his generosity to strangers and his love of animals. Doug was intelligent, mechanically inclined, hard-working and stubborn. Doug served his country in the Air Force beginning in September 1956 and was honorably discharged in 1958. Doug married Virginia (Ginger) Ours in February 1958. Together Doug and Ginger built a large, loving family.

Harley is survived by his wife, six children, 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, three brothers, and two sisters.

Harley was preceded in death by his parents Harley A. House and Zulene House, son-in-law Levi Moss and grandson Sheldon S. House.
