Same place, different name and look

SOAP LAKE — The Daisy Street building in Soap Lake may be the same, but Akins Harvest Foods in Soap Lake has been making it their own over the past few months and the public will now get to see first-hand just many changes have been made to the former John’s Foods grocery store building.
Akins purchased the building at 115 Daisy St. S. back in September and has been renovating the space since. Akins, based in Quincy, operates stores in Oroville and Quincy as well. The Soap Lake location’s opening this morning at 10 a.m. was labeled by officials as a “soft opening,” with a grand opening coming sometime in 2019.
The store will have regular daily business hours of 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
