Donald C. Smith

Donald C. Smith, 94, passed away in his home Nov. 8, 2018 surrounded by family and friends.

When Donald was not serving his country in the Navy, farming, driving truck, working for U and I Sugar, working as a police officer or cutting firewood with his wife Joan, he was camping, fishing, hunting and telling wild stories.

Donald is preceded in death by parents David and Lanona Smith, stepson John Bolinger and the mother of all his children, Fern Palmer.

Donald is survived by his wife of 25 years Joan Smith; his children Don W. Smith, Kathryn Robbins, Steven Smith, Eric Smith, Karen Kernan and husband Ken, Blair Smith and wife Cory and Lester Smith; 11 grandkids and 10 great-grandkids. Donald also had three step-children Bonnie Wynn, David J. Bolinger and Kathy Baumgartner, 8 step-grandchildren and a beloved four-legged furry companion, Tobe.

Don will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

Donald requested no formal funeral services and was cremated by Stevens Funeral Chapel of Othello, Wash.
