MOSES LAKE — Michael Byers scored a go-ahead lay-up in the fourth quarter and Moses Lake rallied to defeat Post Falls 64-59.

Both teams went back and forth for much of the fourth quarter.

Junior forward Kyle Karstetter spun into the lane and scored two of his team-high 18 points to pull the Chiefs ahead 57-55. Sophomore point guard Lerenz Thomas previously tied the game, 55-55, after sinking a pair of free throws.

Thomas also assisted on Byers’ go-ahead score.

Moses Lake got the much-needed stop on the defensive end and Karstetter hit two more free throws to put the game out of reach.

The Chiefs trailed for much of the contest after the Trojans took the lead on an 8-0 run in the first quarter.

Evan McLean and Byers chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively.
