Ruth Virginia Maw Sessions

August 16, 1924 – August 27, 2018

Ruth Virginia Maw Sessions was born Aug. 16, 1924 in Syracuse, Utah and went to her heavenly home Aug. 27, 2018. She was born to Richard Frederick Maw and Henrietta Van Woerkom and shared her life with an older and younger brother. On Aug. 16, 1943 she married her childhood sweetheart, A. Dale Sessions. They spent 58 wonderful years together until Dale’s death in 2001.

Ruth was always close to her family and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed watching them in sports, musical programs, anything they were involved with.

She is survived by her younger brother Gene Maw; her children, Sharon (Dave) Yorgesen, Stan (Laura) Sessions and Diann (Art) Hammer: her 14 grandchildren numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Ruth loved her life as a homemaker, grandmother and friend. She loved gardening, canning and music.

Her funeral will be held Sept. 1, 2018 at the LDS chapel at 200 E. Rainier St., Othello, Wash., at 11 a.m. Following the service the graveside will be at the Bess Hampton Memorial Gardens, Othello, Wash. There will be a viewing Aug. 31, 2018 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the chapel and on Sept. 1, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the chapel.

She will be greatly missed by her family who loved her greatly and by all who knew her.
