George “Bill” William Foltz

George William “Bill” Foltz was born on Feb. 6, 1934 in Conrad, Mont; peacefully died Aug. 16, 2018 in Spokane, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mildred and George Foltz, his sister Rosemary, as well as his niece Susann and nephew Paul.

Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn, his sister Joanne Wood and her family, his three daughters, Pamela Travis and husband Scott Travis, Kathleen Foltz, and Sandra Puckett-Simmerer and husband Ralph Simmerer as well as four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was additionally loved by many extended family and friends throughout his life.

Bill went to Gonzaga University for two years; eventually graduating from Carroll College in Helena, Mont. in 1956 and later joined the Army for two years out of Fort Hood, Texas. Having grown up on a farm in Conrad, Mont, he continued to farm until around 1977 when he became a CPA and worked as an auditor for the Department of Agriculture. He lived in Moses Lake with his wife, Marilyn, for many years and ran the duplicate bridge club.

Bill was a cherished father, respected grandfather, and was dearly loved by all who knew him. He will be remembered by family and friends for his razor-sharp wit, love of golfing, and passion for playing bridge. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
