Motorcyclist hospitalized after I-90 collision
GEORGE — A motorcyclist from East Wenatchee was transported by Lifeflight to a Wenatchee hospital after a collision Sunday about 10 miles west of George.
Derek E. Love, 53, of East Wenatchee, was driving a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he reportedly hit a 2014 Volkswagon Jetta driven by Rebecca N. Simansky, 22, of University Place and over-corrected to the left shoulder, according to the Washington State Patrol. Love was ejected from the motorcycle. Simansky was not injured. It appears Love moved into the lane Simansky was driving in.
The left lane of I-90 was blocked for 45 minutes.
The Washington State Patrol is investigating the collision.
