LAKEVIEW — At least one person was injured in an officer-involved shooting in the Lakeview community on Sunday.

Grant County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Kyle Foreman said no officers were injured and the person who was shot was transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake.

Foreman said several officers were involved, but he could not comment on which agency the officers are with or how many officers used their weapons. Investigators are expected to be at the scene of the shooting in the 100 block of Adrian Avenue Northwest for the next several hours and the public is asked to stay away from the area. The Central Basin Investigative Team is investigating the shooting, which is a standard procedure for officer-involved shootings.

Foreman stated additional details will be released later today.
