Thanks for help with Grant County Fair seed booth

Moses Lake Grange No. 1151, chartered May 31, 2017, would like to thank the local companies for all their donations that allowed them to install the seed display booth at the Grant County Fair. Grange members contacted local companies for two months leading up to the fair, and were pleasantly surprised by the generosity and enthusiasm expressed by each of the sponsors. Grange members spent a handful of Saturdays building the table, sign and display. The weekend before the fair, ten members collaborated harmoniously to place the seeds, creating the unique display that can be seen in the agriculture building. Grange seed display booths have a historical connection to the region, but have not been seen by Grant County fairgoers in at least 25 years.

The purpose of the seed display is to artistically highlight the local agriculture of the Columbia Basin and inspire others to enter their own agricultural-related items into the county fair. Each of the seeds showcased can be grown right here in Grant County. The quilt block pattern gives homage to the country roots of our region, and the centrally located Grange logo shows that Moses Lake Grange No. 1151 is aiming to make a positive impact on the community.

Moses Lake Grange No. 1151 has recently inherited the O’Sullivan Grange Hall located on Road 3 SE and Highway 17. They meet at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of the month and are always welcoming new members and families that want to get involved.
