DESERT AIRE — Two teenagers were injured in a rollover collision south of Desert Aire on Tuesday.
About 3:25 p.m. David Madrigal, 17, of Royal City, was driving a 2003 Honda Civic north on state Route 243, about nine miles south of Desert Aire, when he reportedly left the road to the right. Madrigal allegedly overcorrected and the Civic left the road to the left, rolled and came to a rest on the southbound shoulder on its side, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Madrigal and his passenger, a 14-year-old girl, were injured in the collision and transported to Kadlec Medical Center in Richland for treatment. The patrol reports Madrigal was cited for driving with his wheels off of the road.
