Inland Cellular technicians working to restore voice, text services
MOSES LAKE — Inland Cellular is working to restore voice and text messages to its customers after a network-wide outage caused by a fire put the services out of commission over the weekend.
In the Columbia Basin, Inland Cellular serves Moses Lake and Grant and Adams counties.
The fire took place Friday along the Lewiston Grade near Lewiston, Idaho and took out all transformers, according to an article in The Lewiston Tribune.
The outage initially affected voice, text and data services, but Inland Cellular technicians were able to restore data services Saturday evening. There has been no timetable established for restoring voice and text services, but the company says it is working around the clock to restore them. In the meantime, MACC recommends using another cell service if it’s necessary to call 911.
