Magro drives in two runs, Wenatchee gets past Port Angeles

WENATCHEE — Wenatchee scored three runs in the first inning to cruise past Port Angeles 7-1.

Johnny Magro had one hit and two RBIs.

Wenatchee wasted no time lighting up the scoreboard. Magro hit a bases-loaded single that scored two runs and Wenatchee High School product Jacob Prater scored on a fielder’s choice.

The AppleSox added another run in the second inning when Nick Seamons singled home Jordan Rathbone.

Wenatchee starting pitcher Michael Spellacy made the most of his early run support, tossing six shutout innings with five strikeouts.

Wenatchee continued to add on in the fifth inning when Evan Williams hit a solo home run.

Port Angeles got one run back in the seventh inning before Wenatchee answered with two more in the home half. Rathbone took a pitch over the fence and Isaac Barrera scored on a wild pitch.
