The current water level on the Potholes reservoir is 1043.23 feet — not much change from last week. The water temperature has moved up to the mid-40’s on the main reservoir and the lower 50’s back in the sand dunes. The gates have been opened and the Potholes Canal is flowing — filling Soda Lake. This water flow will draw fish to the mouth of the canal where it enters the lake.

The walleye fishing has picked up considerably with numerous limits being caught on the Lind Coulee, Medicare Beach, and at the mouth of Crab Creek between 20 and 45 feet of water, with the 35-40-foot range being the most consistent. They are being enticed with both jigging blade baits and trolling slow death rigs with Smile Blades.

Quality Largemouth bass are being caught back in the dunes on swimbaits, swim jigs, punch rigs, jig with a craw trailer, and spinnerbaits. Reports of several fish in the 4-6 pound range have come in. Anglers fishing with crankbaits are reeling in a few Smallmouth bass on the Lind Coulee.

Trout are being hooked on the Seep Lakes on Glitter Mallows, Power Bait and or worms. Not much happening off the MarDon Dock yet — but it will be picking up soon for trout and crappie as the water temp rises.

Our Spring Break Special continues through thru April 15. Stay three nights and pay for only two.
