Prep roundup: Zack Valdez's big day helps Moses Lake beat Davis

YAKIMA — Moses Lake scored seven runs in the fifth inning to blow out Davis 13-2.

Zack Valdez was 2-for-3 with three RBI and three runs scored. Cody Goodwin had two RBI; Austin Valdez and Dax Lindgren drove in one run each.

Vance Alvarado allowed two runs over five innings, striking out six.

Othello 8, East Valley 3

OTHELLO — Othello scored seven unanswered runs to beat East Valley 8-3.

Gage Pruneda had three hits and Valente Garza had two RBI. Starting pitcher James Calzadillas had a complete game with four strikeouts.

Chelan 12, Warden 2

WARDEN — Chelan was able to chase Warden starter Ryan Arredondo after five innings, score eight runs in the seventh and win 12-2.

Arredondo struck out six batters in five innings.

Gage Estes led Chelan with three RBI.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 20-25, Republic 0-0

HARTLINE — Almira/Coulee-Hartline’s pitching gave up one hit and two games to sweep Republic 20-0 and 25-0.

Ryan Sample was one walk away from a perfect game in the opener. Sample struck out 11 in four innings.

Maguire Isaak finished 4-for-4 with four RBI in Game 2.

Softball

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 21-22, Republic 0-1

HARTLINE — Sarah Bradshaw pitched a two-hitter, Makenna Oliver tossed a no-hitter and Almira/Coulee-Hartline swept Republic 21-0 and 22-1.

ACH had no resistance, scoring 21 runs after three innings in the opener. Gabi Isaak and Rory Pate drove in three runs each.

In Game 2, Bradshaw had three hits and four RBI.

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 10-12, Davenport 0-6

RITZVILLE — Lind-Ritzville/Sprague picked up a sweep of Davenport 12-0 and 12-6.

LRS starter Hailey Ayers threw a no-hitter in the opener.

In the second game, the Broncos led 11-1 after three innings. Sadie Miller doubled, tripled and drove in five runs.

Soap Lake 20, Manson 1

SOAP LAKE — Eryn Allen tossed a no-hitter and Soap Lake beat Manson 20-1.

The Eagles led 10-1 after two innings before added 10 more runs in the fourth inning to clinch the win.

Allen struck out eight in her no-hitter, adding a team-high three RBI from the plate. Raven Bevers added two RBI.

Quincy 4, Prosser 0

QUINCY — Quincy scored three second-half goals to win comfortably over Prosser 4-0.

Yordi Coronel scored in the 11th minute and a trio of underclassmen picked up the Jacks in the second half.

“We played a lot different with more energy in the second half and it showed,” head coach Arturo Guerrero said.

Jose Lopez, Felipe Zepeda and Jesus Hernandez all scored in the second half. Goalkeeper Tyson Beaumont made five saves.
