Dorcel V. Wyman

Dorcel V. Wyman, 78, of Othello, Wash., peacefully passed away before the sun could rise early morning Sept. 25, 2017, at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, Wash., surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Caldwell, Idaho on Feb. 2, 1939 to Delbert and Louella (Gipe) McGinty. Dorcel was raised with her two brothers Delbert “Bud” and George “Truman” and three sisters Marjorie, Kay and Joanne in Caldwell. She graduated in Caldwell High School’s class of 1957.

She was married to Dale Wyman on Aug. 10, 1958 in Caldwell and enjoyed a wonderful 59 years of marriage. They moved to Othello in 1970 where they raised two children together, Christy and Carla. Dorcel owned and operated her own ceramic shop for eight years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church until it closed and she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She worked as a pharmacy assistant at Potter’s Drug for nearly 25 years. She had a passion for riding horses, camping, and the great outdoors early in life and cared for her husband and grandchildren later in life. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister, and she will be dearly missed and always loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter Annette Kay Wyman, and brother George Truman McGinty.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, at Bess Hampton Memorial Gardens. To leave a condolence for Dorcel in lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Lazy F Camp and Retreat Center, 16170 Manastash Rd., Ellensburg WA 98926, or your choice of charity.
