5-goal second half pushes Warden past College Place

WARDEN — Warden exploded for five goals in the second half and beat College Place 6-1.

It was the first of three games for Warden this week.

Aubree Skone assisted on the first of two goals from Bailey Whitney in the 11th minute. The Cougars held a 1-0 lead through halftime.

“It was a rough first half,” head coach Hannah Mohs said. “I have to give a lot of credit to College Place. They came out ready to play and attacked every ball near them.”

Warden and College Place traded goals to start the second half. The Cougars pulled away with three goals over the final seven minutes.

Warden hosts Highland today at 4 p.m.
