Prep roundup: Warden girls soccer cruises by Connell

CONNELL — Warden scored four goals in each half and beat Connell 8-2.

Aubree Skone continued her barrage with four more goals, bringing her season total to 15 in four games.

“The girls played hard and continue to work together putting together beautiful passes,” head coach Hannah Mohs said. “Moved the girls around to new positions to test out a new strategy. It paid off.”

Along with Skone, Grace Richins added a hat trick and Aaliyah Escamilla scored once.

The Cougars led 3-0 after 15 minutes.

YAKIMA — Sickness and injuries are never a good thing, especially against a quality opponent.

Moses Lake struggled on the road and was swept by West Valley 25-8, 25-9, 25-8.

Prosser 3, Othello 0

PROSSER — Prosser used its exceptional middles to sweep Othello 25-22, 25-20, 25-12.

Mykiah Hollenbeck had nine kills, one ace and 15 digs to pace the Huskies.

Alyssa Freeman and Alyssa Hawley added three and four kills, respectively.

East Valley 3, Quincy 0

YAKIMA — Morgan Kleyn recorded six kills, but Quincy lost to East Valley 25-12, 25-16, 25-22.

Ashlyn Rosenberger added five kills for the Jacks.

Soap Lake 3, Manson 1

MANSON — Tracie Delgado dished 21 assists and Soap Lake beat Manson in four sets 25-18, 25-15, 22-25, 25-10.

Delgado also had four aces.

Sierra Janikowski made sure the Eagles had the service advantage, finishing 14-for-14 with one ace. Janikowski added six assists and four digs.

Juliana Hernandez led the attack with seven kills. Taylor Harvill and Makenna Johnson contributed four kills each.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 3, Valley Christian 0

SPOKANE — Almira/Coulee-Hartline closed out a difficult second set and swept Valley Christian 25-14, 26-24, 25-12.

Gabi Isaak notched four aces and two blocks.

Mikayla Rushton and Ashley Mitchell had six kills each.
