Sept. 15
Report of suspicious person at a residence in the 8500 block of Northeast Arlene Road. Reporting party said an unidentified man was lying in his driveway until he saw the reporting party and his dog, then he ran away.
Report of bad checks at a business at 1147 W. Broadway Ave. Suspect used NSF checks to purchase about $725 in merchandise. The suspect's vehicle was found and impounded.
Report of a burglary at Larson Heights Elementary during the previous day. A juvenile suspect, no age listed, was booked into Grant County Juvenile Detention.
Report of suspicious activity in a field in the 700 block of South Pioneer Way. Reporting party said a subject was visiting the field several times a week to contact the subjects living there. When contacted by law enforcement, the man said he's working with the homeless people living in the field. When contacted, he was talking to a man who ran away; when the second man was found, he was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants.
Two Moses Lake High School students were cited for MIP; one also was cited for possession of marijuana, less than 40 grams.
Report of vehicle prowl at a residence in the 300 block of East Sharon Avenue. Vehicle apparently was broken into between noon and 1:30 p.m.; thieves stole a tattoo gun, estimated value $400, fishing tackle, backpacks and school supplies, estimated value, $200.
Report of two-vehicle, non-injury accident at the Columbia Basin Herald office, 813 W. Third Ave. Driver of vehicle 1 attempted to exit the parking lot onto Third Avenue and was hit by driver of vehicle 2. Driver of vehicle 1 was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
An 18-year-old man was arrested for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).
Report of hit and run accident in the parking lot of a business at 1005 N. Stratford Rd. Employee said his car was hit and damaged sometime between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., when he was at work.
Report of vehicle-pedestrian accident at a residence in the 1400 block of East Craig Street. Driver of vehicle 1 allegedly hit child riding a bike.

A 29-year-old man was arrested for third-degree theft after allegedly refusing to pay cab fare.
Report of two-vehicle, non-injury accident at a business at 601 S. Pioneer Way. Vehicle 1 was unoccupied and rolled into vehicle 2.
Report of graffiti at a trailer at the football fields at Moses Lake High School.
Report of theft at a residence in the 500 block of North Clark Road. The theft apparently occurred sometime between 10 and 10:45 a.m.; thieves stole consumer electronics, coins and other miscellaneous items.
A subject, no age given, was cited for third-degree theft after allegedly attempting to conceal several items inside a backpack.

A 33-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding warrant for DUI.

Report of vandalism at a business at 1102 West Broadway Ave. Reporting party said one of the storage units was broken into, but nothing was stolen.
Report of theft from a church at 925 North Grape Drive. Reporting party said two suspects took a purse from the parked car while they were in church. Suspects were described as two women in a gold four-door vehicle. The vehicle was located and property was recovered.
Report of theft at a business on East Kittleson Road. Victim said when she went to pay for her food her wallet was gone.
Report of vehicle prowl at the park and ride at the intersection of I-90 and SR 17. Window was broken out of the vehicle, but nothing was taken.
A 30-year-old woman was charged with third-degree theft after allegedly stealing merchandise from a business at 1005 N. Stratford Rd. The woman allegedly used a knife stolen in one part of the store to break into a case and steal jewelry in another part of the store.
A subject, no age given, was arrested for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and third-degree malicious mischief (domestic violence).

Report of theft from the Adams County Public Works building at South Booker Road and West Foley Road near Othello. Battery was taken from the pump in the canal at the location.

Report of burglary at the Othello Golf Club, 2269 W. Mockingbird Lane. Business owners had video of the suspects entering and leaving the building.

Report of fraud. Victim said subject asked for change for a $100 bill, and victim provided change. When attempting to use the $100 bill the next day the victim was told it was counterfeit.
