Mike Riggs is independent, qualified for council

| September 14, 2017 3:00 AM

Please join me in voting for Mike Riggs, Moses Lake City Council. I have known Mike for many years in many different roles. He has been actively involved in our public schools, the Moses Lake Trails Committee, the Moses Lake Senior Center and the District Council of Boy Scouts of America. Mike and his wife have supported many community organizations such as Big Bend Community College, the Boys and Girls Club, Serve Moses Lake and his local church. Mike is always available with his musical talent for the many charitable benefits that provide assistance to those in need as well as for the various social and cultural activities that support and enrich the lives of the citizens of Moses Lake. Mike has always conducted himself with integrity and commitment to public service. Mike is running for office because he wants to give back to the Moses Lake community. His number one priority is public safety. He also knows how to manage a complex budget. He is concerned about some of the decisions the current City Council has made and wants future decisions to be made with full transparency considering what is best for all residents and city employees.

Statewide Realtors’ organizations and firefighters’ unions have provided significant funds and support in recent council races. A council member’s agenda may be based on campaign contributions rather than on what is best for the citizens of Moses Lake. Mike Riggs is self-funding the majority of his campaign and is also financed locally by private citizens who know and support his vision.

Please do your homework. Find out what Mike Riggs stands for. He deserves your support.
