Football, soccer games postponed

The Othello Huskies, Royal Knights and Wahluke Warriors were out of action over the weekend as football and soccer action took a back seat to poor air quality due to several fires in the region.

The teams are scheduled to be back on the gridiron and pitch this week.

Tuesday saw Othello hosting Wapato in CWAC soccer action and Wahluke entertaining Warden in a 1ASCAC tilt, but the results were not available at press time.

Royal Girls Soccer hosts Wahluke in David Nielsen Stadium Thursday at 7 p.m. On Friday Othello Football hosts Prosser in a big CWAC matchup on the gridiron at Huskie Stadium, and Wahluke hosts Columbia-Burbank. Both games are slated for a 7 p.m. start. Royal Football takes to the road to match up with Warden. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
