Sept. 12
An erratically-driven vehicle was reported to police. No violations were observed upon officer arrival.
A women reported the theft of a vehicle on which she is a co-signer.
Police assisted Grant County Juvenile with trying to find a minor.
A male was seen on video leaving Walmart with a television. The matter is still under investigation.
A female asked police to give her 15-year-old brother a ride home. He told her over the phone he was high so she didn’t want to give him a ride. She wanted police to help and was told by police her parents were responsible for him and needed to provide his transportation because he’s not a runaway. Police tried to find the juvenile to conduct a welfare check at a business and couldn’t.
Police told woman to keep her poodle at home because of the heat. The dog was hot but did not appear to have medical issues.
A suspect vehicle from a residential burglary on Sept. 11 was stopped. The suspect was arrested for driving while license suspended, third-degree, and an outstanding theft warrant.
Staff at a local Alzheimer’s care facility wanted a patient assault documented. One patient allegedly hit another patient, then the other patient responded by scratching.
An erratically-driven vehicle was reported along the 500 block of West Third Avenue.
A break-in was reported at a residence on Skyline Drive. Officers had observed the victim’s missing items in a suspect vehicle from a county burglary earlier in the day. The vehicle had already been impounded for a search warrant and the victim’s items were still inside. Charged are expected after a search warrant is carried out.
A suspect entered Winco Foods and stole $6.33 in merchandise. The suspect was permanently trespassed from all Winco stores for 100 years. Third-degree theft charges will be filed.
A two-vehicle collision was reported at East Fifth Avenue and South Division Street. A Dodge Neon allegedly went through the red light driving south on Division, colliding with a Toyota Sienna.
A home invasion suspect was found and booked into jail.
A collision between a Honda Civic and a Nissan Versa was reported in front of Frontier Middle School.
Speeding vehicles were reported in the area of South Skyline Drive and East Nelson Road. Law enforcement was unable to find the vehicles.
Two juveniles were found after refusing to return home. An officer drove the juveniles home.
People from Ritzville were waiting for their appointment the next day about housing. The people were sleeping on the ground next to their vehicle and police told them camping was not allowed in the city limits.
Police arrested a man on a confirmed theft warrant out of Spokane.
Sept. 13
A person riding a bike without a light was contacted in the 1000 block of West Oregon Street. The bike rider had a juvenile warrant for probation violation and was booked into the juvenile facility.
A man was warned about a barking dog and agreed to quiet his dog for the rest of the morning.
A female allegedly lied to police about her car running out of fuel and her boyfriend leaving to get gas. She reportedly gave an officer a false name. The boyfriend was in the area and law enforcement was unable to find him.

A woman reported that her grandson hadn’t come home from school.

A woman reported that a male, who had a gun, hit his mother and girlfriend.
