Sept. 5

Report of a $14,000 compactor stolen from a job site in the 1300 block of East Burr Avenue.

Report of an assault between two Moses Lake High School students in the commons area of the school.

A woman reported sometime over the last three months an unknown person stole several items out of her storage unit in the 11900 block of Kittleson Road Northeast.

Report of a Hispanic male attempting to stop traffic in the area of Paxson Drive Northeast and West Central Drive. Police could not locate the man.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested for third-degree assault after he reportedly consumed marijuana and slapped an officer in the face.

Police contacted a man who was sleeping on a sidewalk in the area of South Pioneer Way and East Hill Avenue. The man was intoxicated and taken to a nearby safe location. Police contacted the man later in the day and he had urinated himself. Medics arrived and the man was provided a change of clothes.

Sept. 6

Report of a male stealing a $119 scale from Sportsman's Warehouse.

Report of five people leaving a restaurant in the 1500 block of East Yonezawa Boulevard without paying for $100 worth of food. Police could not find the suspects.

A man reported receiving two fraudulent phone calls.

Report of three male juveniles knocking on the back door of a residence in the 900 block of Northwest Sunburst Court and telling a male juvenile they would beat him up and make him bleed. The suspects left the area and were not located.

A man was permanently trespassed from a business in the 500 block of West Broadway Avenue after yelling and screaming at people at the location.

Report of a scooter stolen from a residence in the 500 block of South Canterbury Lane.

A man was arrested in the 1000 block of South Division Street after chasing three people with a knife.

Sept. 6

A restaurant was reportedly broken into.

Two passengers were reported fighting on a bus.

A man reported that his residence had been broken into.

A female caller reported that her brother was yelling and had a history of violent behavior.

A man reported that a female subject came into his residence threatening him and tried to hit him.

Sept. 7

A taco truck was reportedly broken into.

A man reported that his ex-girlfriend opened a trailer window and pushed over a dresser trying to open the door.

Grant County Jail

Sept. 6

Jorge Mendoza, 20, of Quincy, was surrendered by a bail enforcement agent on a Department of Corrections secretary's warrant for violations of probation and an outstanding Grant County District Court warrant for obstruction, possession of marijuana and use of drug paraphernalia.

Jose Moreno, 20, of Moses Lake, was arrested and booked on a DOC short-term confinement cause.

Bulmaro Hernandez, 24, of Royal City, was booked on a DOC secretary's warrant.

Emiliano Vargas, 29, of Benton City, was booked for manufacturing marijuana.

Joseph Bera, 49, of Ephrata, was arrested and booked for disorderly conduct and third-degree malicious mischief.

Sept. 7

Luke Faimon, 38, of Garden City, Idaho, was arrested and booked for DUI.
