| September 1, 2017 1:00 AM

GRANGER — In an early-season tilt between ranked teams, Almira/Coulee-Hartline was stymied in the second half and lost to fifth-ranked Sunnyside Christian 34-20.

ACH, ranked third in the first Associated Press Washington Football Prep Poll, led 20-6 in the second quarter before Sunnyside Christian rallied.

The Warrior led 20-12 at halftime.

That scored stayed put after a rare scoreless third quarter in eight-man football.

Sunnyside Christian scored on the first play of the fourth quarter and tied the game, 20-20, after a successful two-point conversion.

The Knights tacked on two more touchdowns to pull away.
