Mary Ellen Parsons, 86, a resident of Moses Lake since the early 1950s, passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017 at Brookdale Senior Living. Mary was surrounded by the love of family and friends, wrapped in a handmade quilt her mother made.

Mary was born on Oct. 26, 1930 in Paris, Calif., daughter of the late Clarence and Johnnie (Duff) Turner. She was married to Robert D. Parsons on Nov. 25, 1950 and they raised five children. They moved to Moses Lake in the 1950s. Mary enjoyed puzzles, quilting, reading, scrap booking, and loved spending time with her family at home. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law Leslie Renee and Richard Clemons and Janice and David Yates; one son and daughter-in-law Wade and Rosemary Parsons; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and a special person in her life for the last 12 years, Steve.

Besides her parents Clarence and Johnnie Turner and husband Robert Parsons, she was preceded in death by two children, Robert Turner Parsons and Clinton “Buddy” Eugene Parsons, and by two sisters.
