Goodrich an excellent choice for school board

| October 26, 2017 3:00 AM

Elliott Goodrich wants to be a member of the Moses Lake School District Board of Directors and he is highly qualified for the position. He has high standards for the Moses Lake School District. He insists on higher graduation rates, more employable graduates, and less truancy. He would like to see more educational capacity, but at a more responsible cost to the community. As a retired educator, I appreciate his enthusiasm for recruiting and retaining the best teachers. School employees appreciate working in a district staffed by educators who know how to coax the best performance from their students. He believes that this is a concrete way to bring the community, the schools, and the families together for a great purpose; the future of their children and the future of our great nation.

He was born and raised in Moses Lake, graduated from Moses Lake High School and Big Bend Community College. He paid for his education at the University of Washington by teaching accounting and political science, and he graduated with an MBA. He lives on the family farm in Moses Lake with his wife and two small children. He learned firsthand about the benefits of being fiscally responsible while he was the owner of a farm equipment store in Moses Lake, and now as a farmer. His attitude about money management remains the same today. He is fiscally responsible and conservative.

Elliott Goodrich will be an excellent member of the Moses Lake School District Board of Directors.
