Duane 'Duke' Mitchell

November 15, 1933 – October 9, 2017

Duane “Duke” Mitchell passed away on Oct.9 at 1 a.m. Duke was born on Nov. 15, 1933 in Detroit, Mich. He served in the military and had a 55-year brotherhood as an electrical worker for Local Union 77. Duke spent his time traveling, working to provide for his beloved family, and in his garden. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren, and his dogs. He was a big fan of the Seattle Mariners.

Duke is preceded in death by his mother Francis Decker and his first wife of 35 years, Mary Mitchell. He is survived by his wife of seven years Colleen Mitchell; his children Mitch Mitchell, Mark Mitchell, Myka Mitchell, Donnie Mitchell, Johnny Mitchell and Patty Mitchell and his grandsons Ryan Cecchetti and Nathan Mitchell. He has 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Duke was an honorable man and will be missed by many people who loved and cared for him beyond words.
