Pack addresses his past, future

| October 5, 2017 3:00 AM

My name is Nathan Pack and I’m running for Moses Lake City Council Position No. 5.

I’ve been a stubborn man. In business, that stubbornness has helped me accomplish a great deal. But, as a young man, it’s also caused me tremendous problems.

Soon after getting my driver’s license, I got my first speeding ticket. At 19, for the first time, my license was revoked. I was 100 percent naive and had little regard for traffic laws. Yes, I was dumb! Then I had three major moving violations in five years. My driver’s license was suspended and I lost a good-paying job as a result. And I spent time in jail. Then, several years later, mid-August 2015 with a lapse in judgment, I was arrested in a parking lot in Moses Lake and later convicted of a DUI. I lost my license again. I voluntarily signed up for alcohol rehabilitation, paid my fines, and did more time in jail.

Many failures and accomplishments later, I am now 32 years old with an amazing wife and two phenomenal little boys, multiple businesses that employees several residents, rental properties that local residents call home. But also multiple lifetimes worth of driving offensives.

I’m limited to 300 words in this letter. I wish I had millions to tell you who Nathan Pack really is. The tremendous amount of perspective I’ve gained in my life, has both cost me and taught me. Please don’t limit your perception of me to only my mistakes, but also my accomplishments. Please, anyone who has any questions for me, I would love to answer them. Please call me on my cell at 509-750-2488.

I would love your confidence to help six other city council members lead this beautiful city into the future.
