Las Vegas shooting should serve as alarm

| October 5, 2017 3:00 AM

I am sure when our forefathers wrote the second amendment – our right to bear arms – they never contemplated the types of “arms” that are now in our world. Arms available back in the day? Muskets.

The NRA is a big powerful organization with lots of money and influence. Now would the NRA please explain why the heck anyone would need an AK-47? Or something such as that? I’m not talking about the military, I’m thinking your average citizens.

Under any circumstances, someone purchasing a gun should have to go through an in depth background check.

I understand there is a bill in Washington, D.C. this week – allowing silencers on guns. Are you kidding me? For what?

I urge all the mothers, grandmothers, women in general to write, email, call your legislatures – to somehow get the gun situation under control. Oh, dads, grandpas, men in general, you need to get busy too.

The carnage in Las Vegas should be a big, big alarm for us all.
