GRANT COUNTY NOTICE TO CONSULTANTS FOR: "Request for Qualifications" Professional Bridge Engineering Services Grant County Public Works solicits interest from consulting firms with expertise in Civil Engineering and Structural Engineering and design. Solicitations must be received at the Grant County Public Works main office at the below address no later than 4:00 pm on December 8, 2017 by mail or hand delivered; email or faxed solicitations are not acceptable. Consultants will be considered for the following project: PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The work to be performed by the consultant consists of: Assisting in the design of future bridge projects. Providing on-call services for bridge ratings, evaluations, and inspection assistance to the County Road Engineer and Bridge crew. Provide SHV load ratings for approximately 100 Grant County bridges or as requested. The consultant firm that is awarded the project may be extended upon mutual agreement by both parties on agreement of terms, thru December 31, 2022. REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS The Grant County Port District #10 (Port of Moses Lake) owns and operates an industrial wastewater facility, State Waste Discharge Permit # ST0008063, good operating practices require certain system monitoring and reporting take place on a regular basis. Monitoring includes groundwater quality, soil quality, crop nutrient removal, wastewater quantity and quality, irrigation water management and irrigation rates. Monitoring data, generated by the system users, need review for compliance with the user ordinance. System operations data need to be regularly evaluated to identify and correct problems as they occur and maintain good system management. In order to assist the Port in managing its land application system, sampling and analysis, data review and reporting services are needed. These services will help the Port operate the system properly and in compliance with the system permit. This is a 3-year contract for the period from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2020 to coincide with the Port's State Waste Discharge Permit reporting cycle, with an option of a two-year extension.
